X DRAKE

Who is he?

X Drake is a character from One Piece, which has been a special interest of mine since 2015!

Why do you like him?

i'm autistic. next question.

Ok, but for real, I actually have no idea! He's not an incredibly important character, and he isn't that interesting. Truly it seems like one day I woke up and he suddenly was my favorite.

Ok, let me actually talk about what I think is interesting about him, and that is all of the interactions and parallels he has with Law (and Corazon later on!)

First, Drake being on Minion Island as the same time as Law, with Corazon saving them both in some way. (Corazon killing Drake's father, Diez Barrels, and the other Barrels pirates.) Which then allows Drake to flee, ending up being taken in by the Marines. That allows Doflamingo and the Family to think the child rescued by the Marines was Law, meaning Drake inadvertently saves Law.

Their paths cross again at Saboady (the first time to the viewer) and we are shown that Drake is now an ex-marine turned pirate.

We then see them meet again in Wano, with it being revealed that Drake is a member of SWORD and is working undercover to infiltrate the Beast Pirates, much like Corazon did to the Family. Law is then caught by Hawkins, but later Drake releases him, saving him.

With how we're shown how Law helping others and being help, I think that Law probably saved Drake after he was defeated by CP0. (at least I hope...)

This was all to say that while Drake might not be important to Luffy's story, he's important in Law's and I THINK THAT SHOULD BE KNOWN.
